
It Happened Last Night…
The regular meeting for the Continental School Board was held at 6:00 p.m. on July 12, 2022 in the administration
office. The meeting was called to order by board president Dean Bidlack, who opened the meeting with the Pledge of
Allegiance.

Treasurer’s Report:
The Board:
•Gave approval to remove Katelyn Adams’ name from the First National Bank of Pandora bank account.
•Appointed Robin Etter as delegate and Brian Donaldson as alternate to the OSBA Business meeting which will be
held during the OSBA Capital Conference and Trade Show on November 13-15.
•Approved the following milk and bread bids for the 2022-2023 school year:

•Approved Debara McIntyre and Nathan Schmidt as Continental School van drivers and issued driving certificates for
the 2022-2023 school year.
•Increased the hours of custodian Nathan Hinkle from 5.5 to 8 hours per day, 260 days per year, effective
July 18, 2022.
•Approved 100% board paid employee share of SERS (pick-up) for Krista Crossgrove, Assistant Treasurer Employee
Group, effective July 18, 2022. This will be a fringe benefit not included in compensation.
•Authorized to employ two full-time substitute teachers on one-year, long-term substitute teaching contracts, effective August 18, 2022, at a daily rate of $196.34 (Step 0BA). Days and hours will be that of a regular teacher. This position will not be extended at the end of the 2022-2023 school year.
•Issued cashier Raydean Stark-Pickens a one-year limited contract at Step 0, pending satisfactory background checks, if applicable, effective August 18, 2022, at two hours per day, 184 days per year.
•Approved the following supplemental contract, pending proper certification and satisfactory FBI/BCI background
checks, if applicable, for summer 2022: Nathan Schmidt, Summer Weight Room Coordinator.
•The board went into executive session per ORC 121.22, to conduct an evaluation of the superintendent.
