Momentum. The Pirates started off the game with it. The Bears finished the first half with it and the Pirates used it to control the second half but in the end it was the Riverdale Bears who came out Victors. Continental came out of the gate early on Thursday as Wyatt Davis put in a Rhenn Armey pass just short of 3 minutes into the game to give the visiting Pirates a 1-0 lead. It was all Bears the rest of the half as Brendon Reiser put in a hat trick plus 1 to finish off the half with a Bear 4, Pirate 1 score.
The second half was all Pirates as Davis hit the back of the net again this time off a pass from Westin Okuley just short of 3 minutes into the second half. The Pirates would add a goal from Alex Sherrits with Armey picking up his second assist. The Pirates had a couple of tries near the end of the game but could not convert. Bears 4, Pirates 3 final.
Continental had 9 shots on goal to Bryan 7. Continental had 2 corner kicks to the Bears 1. Cody Auch had 3 saves for the Pirates.
Continental falls to 4-2-1 and will host Riverdale on Saturday. Bryan improves to 4-0-4.
