Charles David Wing Jr.
September 22, 1931 – August 26, 2023
Charles “Chuck” peacefully went to be with his Lord at home with his wife of 35 years, Virginia, by his side. He was born and raised in Continental, Ohio and graduated from Continental High School in 1949, attending many of their yearly reunions.
He attended photography school before joining the Air Force. During his service time he attended military police school, did some radio broadcasting and was stationed in England and Korea. His life’s work was banking and sales.
Chuck loved to travel and was proud of his Wing Family heritage which dates back to the 1600s when they came to America for religious freedom. Chuck was a member of Santa Rosa Bible Church and a children’s leader in Bible Study Fellowship for several years.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. and Mathilda, his son Charles “Dave” III, and brother-in-law Earl Hagerman. He is survived by his wife to whom he was a wonderful husband, stepsons Daryl Phillips (Giselle), Duane Phillips (Janie), Dean Phillips, grandchildren Jeffrey (Angelika), Joshua, Rachelle (John), Laura, Lindsey (Jeffrey), Melissa (Mikal), Ryan and great-grandchildren Eve and Nicholas.
A memorial service was held on Saturday September 2, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Santa Rosa Bible Church, 4575 Badger Road in Santa Rosa, CA.
