The Continental Community Library, Inc. was formed in 2000 to provide a physical facility for a branch of the Putnam County Library District. The county library provides books, shelving, computer, supplies and staff. The county Association is responsible for the daily operations of the local library. Each community in Putnam County that has a branch library provides a building; this allows the County Library Association to operate more effectively.
The Continental Community Library owns the building, provides utilities, insurance, building and grounds upkeep.
The Putnam County Library District runs the Library.
A library is a valuable asset to any community. A community can be judged by the quality of its schools and library. The library is not about books, but information. Our group is small and needs people to help keep this facility in good condition and promote the use of the facility.
This is a busy time of the year for all people. If you cannot attend the meeting and would like to help, be informed or have any questions, please call 419-789-1463.
