Continental High School 2022 Honor Graduates

Continental High School – Honor Graduates – 2022

Jensen Armey is the daughter of Joshua and Jaime Armey. She has maintained a 3.9 GPA during her four years of high school and participates in several college credit courses. Jensen is the senior class vice president and has been a member of the National Honor Society her last three years of high school, obtaining the position of treasurer. Jensen joined the Quiz Bowl team her senior year. She has played four years of varsity soccer and three years of varsity basketball, serving as a captain for both teams. Outside of school, Jensen works at Sundae’s Ice Cream and babysits whenever she can. She is a member of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church. She attended the American Legion Auxiliary Buckeye Girls State session in the summer of 2021. After graduation, Jensen plans to go to the University of Cincinnati, with an undecided major.

Annika Bowers is the daughter of Nathan and Krystal Bowers. She has maintained a 3.8 GPA while attending Continental High School. Annika was a member of the honor roll, National Honors Society, and Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, as well as co-editor of the yearbook. She participated in volleyball all four years of high school where she was a captain. She was also a four-year varsity cheerleader. Annika volunteered at local churches, donation organizations, and humane shelters. She has spent her years in high school working at Sundaes Ice Cream, Split Ends, and babysitting. Annika is committed to Indiana Wesleyan University pursuing a marketing degree.

Kristen Brecht, is the daughter of Stacy and Ryan Brecht. She has maintained a 3.5 GPA and all A’s her senior year. Kristen is also a part of the National Honor Society and Family, Career and Community Leaders of America and is also an advanced art IV student. Kristen received three blue ribbons for her art at the Putnam County art show this year and has had many other pieces submitted to various other shows. She’s helped paint the mural for fall fest for the past three years and has volunteered for the community. After graduation Kristen has plans of attending training to become a flight attendant for United Airlines.

Wyatt Davis is the son of Larry and Rhonda Davis. He has maintained a 3.7 GPA and all A’s and B’s while attending Continental High School and Vantage Career Center. Wyatt has participated in soccer, basketball, and track and field for all four years of high school. Wyatt is also a member of the National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, and is a Vantage Student Ambassador. While at Vantage his peers voted him to be class president of his Sports Exercise Therapy program. Wyatt plans to attend Defiance College to major in Exercise Science.

Andrew Hoeffel is the son of Chris and Annette Hoeffel. He has maintained a 3.86 GPA throughout his time at Continental High School and has been in many college credit plus classes. Andrew received district level honors in soccer, as well as four varsity letters in basketball and two varsity letters for baseball. He participated in club soccer for both Greater Toledo Football Club and Ohio Extreme Soccer Club. Andrew was also a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, and Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. He has been a member of the Sons of the American Legion for 16 years. After graduation Andrew plans on attending Bowling Green State University to major in Integrated Social Studies Education.

Gavin Huff is the son of Nathan and Tegan Huff. He has kept a 4.0 GPA over his high school career. Gavin is the Senior Class President and has been involved in Student Council and the National Honor Society while in high school. Gavin is a 4-year varsity basketball player, 2-year varsity soccer player, and 1-year varsity baseball player. After high school, Gavin plans to attend the University of Cincinnati, majoring in aerospace engineering with a minor in computer science.

Elijah Ray Mayes is the son of Gene and Michelle Mayes. He has maintained a 3.5 GPA while attending Continental High School. Elijah has participated in soccer, track and field, musicals and plays, band, and Quiz Bowl. Elijah is also a member of the National Honor Society and is the treasurer of Student Council. Elijah is committed to Defiance College, and plans on pursuing a degree in Computer Science.

Mckenzy Mayes is the daughter of Gene and Michelle Mayes. She is a four-year member of the soccer team, serving as captain for one year. She has been involved with the plays and musicals for three years and has competed with the track and field team for three years. Mckenzy has been included on the Honor Roll. She attends the First Church of God. In her free time, Mckenzy enjoys watching Criminal Minds and re-watching Marvel movies. In the future, Mckenzy plans to go to Rhodes State College to become an occupational therapist.

Dominick Moore is the son of David and Amanda Wagner. He has maintained a 3.35 GPA throughout his high school career. He has taken advanced math classes and participated in four different  sports throughout high school. He transferred from Ayersville High School in the span of my high school years to experience more and explore more of himself. After high school Dominick plans to attend college at University of Northwestern Ohio for robotics to learn the ins and outs of machinery and computers. He hopes to be able to experience and be a part of technology as it progresses in the world and take this to a career field he will enjoy doing for his life. 

Lillie Nienberg is the daughter of Janelle Nienberg and Jeromy Nienberg. Lillie has maintained a 3.81GPA throughout her Continental High School and Vantage Career Center career. Lillie is a member of Future Farmers of America and Ottoville Blue Ribbon Winners 4-H club. Lillie plans to pursue a career as an Emergency Medical Technician after high school.

Kenna Alyse Okuley is the daughter of Travis and Kieu Okuley. She has maintained a 3.4 GPA and has been on the honor roll all four years. Kenna has been a part of the volleyball team for three years and has been a varsity cheerleader for four years. She was a member of the student council all four years of high school as well as a member of FCCLA for three years. She is also a co-editor of the CHS yearbook. Kenna plans on attending Florida Gulf Coast University where she will major in exercise science in hopes of becoming a sports medicine physician. 

Lexi Diana Ordway is the daughter of Ron and Elizabeth Ordway. She has maintained a 3.7 GPA throughout her high school career, and has been on the honor roll every quarter while attending Continental High School and Vantage Career Center in the Health Technology program. At Vantage she was able to gain her STNA and Phlebotomists license while still focusing on her studies.  Lexi has been a member of the Bronc Busters 4-H club for seven years, and has shown chickens and horses. She has also been a member of the National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, and Health Occupations Students of America. Lexi is committed to Rhodes State College, and plans on pursuing a degree in Nursing.

Jacob Michael Quigley is the son of Robert and Amy Quigley. He has maintained a 3.6 GPA and All A’s. Jacob has been a part of the Continental Drama Department for five years in various musicals and plays. He also was involved with Maumee Valley Civic Theater during the summer. Jacob was one of the few artists from Continental High School to be featured in the Wassenburg Art Center this spring. Jacob plans on going out into the world with open arms, hoping to spread happiness and become an actor. 

Hunter Keith Rue is the son of Joel and Kimberly Rue. He has maintained a 3.6 GPA while attending Continental and Ayersville high schools. Hunter has participated in wrestling, cross country, track and field, baseball, and soccer. After graduation Hunter plans to work on windmills in different states in the US, and then plans to pursue a degree in Applied Technologies at UNOH.

Brooklyn Alexandria Smith is the daughter of Joe and Lynn Smith. She has maintained a 3.8 GPA with all A’s and B’s while attending Continental High School. Brooklyn is a three-year member of the National Honor Society and has loved her time participating in all productions of the Continental HS Drama Department over the last four years. She has also participated in Quiz Bowl, the band’s flag section, choir, and soccer as a stats keeper. Brooklyn is committed to Ohio University, and plans on pursuing an undergraduate degree in Women and Gender Studies.

David Speiser is the son of Ron Speiser and Wendy Herr. He has maintained a 3.7 GPA throughout high school at Continental and Vantage Career Center. At Vantage, David is one of the Sergeants in the Senior Criminal Justice lab. He has participated in track and field for four years, marching band for four years, and baseball for two years. David is also a National Honor Society member at Continental as well as a National Technical Honor Society member at Vantage. In his free time, David enjoys hanging out with his friends at the campgrounds and helping out on the farm. In August, David plans to attend the Police Academy at Vantage Career Center. 

LeAnne Warnimont is the granddaughter of Arthur Bear and Arlen Bear.  She has been an honor roll student and a member of the National Society of High School Scholars while attending Paulding High School. This year, as a member of the robotics team, LeAnne helped design and build the rescue robot that came in 1st place in the National Robotics Challenge. LeAnne enjoys art class and has created many creative projects. Her future plans are to become a Sonographer.
