A new head coach and a host of returning players will hopefully boost the Continental High Boys basketball win totals in the 2020-2021 season. Former Pirate Scott Keck has taken over as head coach and welcomes back most of the offensive force from last years 6-18 squad. Leading the way for the Pirates is 2020 PCL second teamer Senior Mitchell Coleman. Colemam led the Pirates last year with 385 points (16.7 ppg). Fellow Seniors Reed Warnement (91 points, 3.9 ppg), Bryce Recker (28, 1.3) and Hunter Tegenkamp will provide the inside presence for the Pirates. Junior Gavin Huff was the Pirates second leading scorer with 201 points (8.7 ppg). He along with 3 fellow classmates, Andrew Hoeffel (1.6 ppg), Alex Sharritis and Wyatt Davis return with significant Varsity playing experience. Sophomore Rhenn Armey was the starting point guards for the Pirates in 2020 and put in 73 points (3.2 ppg). Sophomore Konner Knipp Williams is also vying for playing time.
The Pirates open their season with a 3 games at home before hitting the road. Attendance is severely limited with no tickets for sale at the game. Continental does livestream the home games on a site available on the school website.
