Doris M. Bratton, 1941 – 2022

 LEIPSIC – Doris M. Bratton, 81, of Leipsic, passed away at 2:50 p.m., Monday, May 16, 2022, at The Meadows of Leipsic surrounded by her family.  She was born January 11, 1941, in Leipsic to the late Edwin and Emma (Barlage) Ellerbrock. 

  Survivors include a son, Tony Bratton of Ottawa; a daughter-in-law, Mary Bratton of Owenboro, KY; two grandchildren: Samantha Bratton of Rockford and Cassandra Bratton of Ada; two step-grandchildren: Krista Egler of Bryan and Amanda Coble of Defiance; a great-granddaughter, Gemma Widmark; a sister, Mary Jane Brubaker of Holgate; and her very special friends: Ted (Donna) Schnipke, Matt Schnipke, Deanna Brinkman and Adam Schnipke, all of Cloverdale.

  She was also preceded in death by a son, David Bratton; a special friend, Alfred “Fritz’ Schnipke; and three brothers: Leonard, Norman and James Ellerbrock.

  Doris retired from Philips, Ottawa after 34 years.  She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland.  She loved her pet, Amos.

  Funeral Mass will begin 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland with Fr. Scott Perry officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m., Thursday at the church.

  Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.

  Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

  Condolences may be expressed at www.lovefuneralhome.com.
