CONTINENTAL – Sometimes it takes 6,500 lego bricks to create a community.
In Continental this is what the elementary students used to create a duplicate of their town. The students are part of the “OurTime’ STEM team at the school.
The blocks were funded through the Putnam County Educational Service Center by a 21st Century grant with emphases on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
Students enrolled in an After School program in grades 1-3 at Continental Elementary were given the opportunity to take part in building the replica of their town.. Over 50 students signed up for this Main Street session.
