The Lady Pirates came up short in a re-match with the Ayersville Pilots in the first game of sectional tournament play at Paulding on Wednesday night. Ayersville jumped out with a 20-5 first quarter lead and the Pirates struggled to catch-up. With a 21-30 point deficit at the half, the girls finished the night with a final score of 46-59. The Lady Pirates were led by Paige Ordway with 18 points followed by Alex Quigley with 9. The Pirates finished the season with a 10-12 overall record and 5th place in the PCL with a 3-4 record. To the Seniors – Erica Fitzwater, Paige Kindilien, Paige Ordway and Sloane Zachrich – thanks for the memories!
