On Saturday the Pirates found the back of the net 5 times against a defensive minded Miller City Girls Soccer team. In a Putnam County League game that saw many Pirate Goal attempts thwarted by the Wildcats defense early, it was Pirate Riley Fenter who put in the first goal off a corner kick by Addy Armey at the 17:46 mark. Alex Hoeffel added a second Pirate first-half goal when she maneuvered through the Wildcat defense to make it Pirates 2-0 at the 9:09 mark. The would mark the scoring for the first half. The second half had Pirate Hannah Soto put in her first goal of the year as she put in a shot with 32:33 left in the game. Addy Armey made it 4-0 Pirates when she hit a shot in from the 16 following an Alex Hoeffel free kick. The days’ scoring ended when Maddie Burke put in a rebound off an Addy Armey shot with 5:30 left in the game. Pirates 5, Wildcats 0.
