
Lancers 52, Lady Pirates 10
On Saturday night Continental High Girls Basketball team traveled to Lincolnview for their season opener. It was all Lancers at the start as they opened up the game scoring all the points in the first quarter for a 17-0 lead. The Pirates put 5 on the second half while the Lancers add 15 to their total. Lancers 32-5 at half. The Lancers expanded their lead by 15 in the third quarter. Lancers 49-7. The two teams both had 3 points in the fourth for a Lancer 52-10 finals.
Jensen Armey and Bryn Tegenkamp both had 5 points on the night.
Continental falls to 0-1 and will travel to Hicksville on Tuesday. Lincolnview improves to 1-0.
Aces 49, Lady Pirates 26
On Tuesday night the Pirates took the early lead but the middle quarters proved to be the difference as the host Aces took the Girls Basketball nonleauge game. Continental got off to the early lead and doubled up the Aces 8-4. The Aces won the second quarter by 10 and took a 21-15 lead into the half break. It was all Aces in the third as they put in the only points of the quarter to take a 37-15 lead. A close fourth quarter went the Aces way for a 49-26 final.
Bryn Tegenkamp led the Pirates with 14 points. Jensen Armey added 6, Olivia Logan 4, and Destiny Pier 2. Tegenkamp and Armey both hit a 3 pointer for the Pirates.
Continental falls to 0-2 and will travel to Columbus Grove on Tuesday for a Putnam County League game. Hicksville improves to 1-1.
