On Thursday night, the host Continental Girls Varsity Basketball got the better of the Tinora Rams in the second half but it was not enough to win the game. Tinora jumped out to a 17-9 lead after 1 quarter. The Rams expanded their lead by 2 in the second quarter to make it a 10 point game. Rams 32, Pirates 22 at half. The Pirate comeback started in the third quarter as they outpointed the Rams by 1. Tinora 46, Continental 37 after 3. A Pirate 2 point advantage in the fourth was not enough to finish the comeback as the Rams went home 57-50 winners.
Katie Keller led the Pirates with 14 points. Madi Sharp added 13 points while Catelyn Etter put in 12. Addyson Armey had 8 points and Kerri Prowant 3. Sharp hit 2 three-pointers for the Pirates
Continental falls to 0-5 and will host Fairview on Tuesday. Tinora improves to 3-2.
