From the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office (FB page 2/17/15): On February 16, 2015 @ 13:53hrs, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office received a call of an injured logger in the woods behind the Catholic Church in Cloverdale, Putnam County, Ohio. When deputies arrived, the found William Rayle Jr (age 53) with an incapacitating leg injury due to being crushed by a fallen tree. Mr. Rayle was able to free himself but was unable to move due to the injury. Kalida Heavy Rescue was requested at the scene due to the nature of the incident and the rough terrain of the wooded area. Ottoville Fire Department, Ottoville E.M.S., Putnam County E.M.S. and Cloverdale Mayor Judd Spenser assisted at the scene.
