Two things were apparent in the OHSAA Softball Division IV Bryan District tournament where there were only 2 teams with a winning record and other teams avoided those teams with the winning record. Continental was seeded 12th in the 13 team field but were able to take a bye to the sectional final as #1 seed Hilltop eschewed the bye and will face #13 seed Fayette in the opening round. The Pirates sectional final game will be at Hilltop unless Fayette defeats the Cadets then the game will be at Continental. In the other bracket #2 seed took the bracket and will meet the winner of the #10 Pettisville/#11 Holgate sectional semifinal. Edgerton (7-9) picked up the other bye as the #3 seed.
Last year Hilltop advanced out the Bryan District and made it to the Defiance Regional Finals where New Riegel took out the Cadets -3.
