On Saturday Continental Boys Soccer poured in 3 goals in the first 20 minutes to take a commanding 3-0 lead on way to a 7-1 victory over New Knoxville. Wyatt Davis started the Pirates scoring with a goal 9:28 into the game. Andrew Hoeffel got the assist. A little over 5 minutes later Noah Becher hit the back of the net for the host Pirates. With 22:55 Davis put in a Rhenn Armey pass to make it 3-0. A little over 6 minutes later Davis would get the hat trick off another assist from Armey. Pirates 4-0. The Rangers would get on the board with 15:55 left in the half to make it 4-1. Westin Okuley would score for the Pirates to finish out the halves scoring with Armey getting the assist. Pirates 5, Rangers 1 half.
7 minutes in the second half Armey put in a goal to make it 6-1 Pirates. Cody Auch would score for the Pirates off Armey’s 4 assist to make it a 7-1 Pirate Final.
Continental outshot New Knoxville 27-4. The Pirates had 5 corner kicks to the Rangers 1. Pirate Goalie Konnor Knipp-Williams had 3 saves.
Continental is now 7-4-1 and will travel to defending OHSAA Division III State Champion Archbold on Tuesday to play under the lights. New Knoxville falls to 4-9.
