Pirates Take 8 Firsts at Patrick Henry!

CHS Track & Field opened the 2021 season at Patrick Henry’s Xavier and Aidan Wensink Memorial Track Complex with a tri meet with Patrick Henry, CHS and North Baltimore. Leading the way for the Pirates was Shelby Collier with 3 firsts (100, Pole Vault, 4×100 relay) and a third (Long Jump).  Konner Knipp Williams got a pair of first (110 Hurdles and 330 Hurdles) and a third (Pole Vault).  Wyatt Davis (100), Hunter Tegenkamp (1600), Isaac Gibbs (Shot Put) Curtis Mansfield (Discus) all placed 1st.  In addition to Collier, Destiny Pier, Jensen Prowant, and Alli Scott were part of the winning 4×100 relay team.  Overall both the boys and girls teams placed second with Patrick Henry winning both portions.
Pirates were to travel to Crestview on Thursday but that meet has been cancelled.  The Pirates next meet is on Tuesday when they are in a Tri meet at Ayersville.
Top four in each event gets points.

100m dash Shelby Collier 1st, Destiny Pier 2nd, Jensen Prowant 3rd ,Bryn Tegenkamp 4th.
200m dash Bryn Tegenkamp 2nd, Rhaegan Marshall 3rd, Peyton Stauffer 4th.
400m dash Bryn Tegenkamp 2nd.
100m hurdles Destiny Pier 2nd, Mckenzy Mayes 3rd, Peyton Stauffer 4th.
300m hurdles Peyton Stauffer 2nd, Mckenzy Mayes 3rd.
4x100m relay team Destiny Pier, Jensen Prowant, Alli Scott, Shelby Collier 1st.
High Jump Maddie Burke 2nd, Bryn Tegenkamp 4th.
Pole Vault Shelby Collier 1st.
Long Jump Shelby Collier 3rd.
Shot Put Allie Scott 3rd.
Discus Maddie Burke 3rd, Alli Scott 4th.
