Saturday April 27, 2013, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the Continental Police Department, will conduct a Prescription Drug Collection Day.
The reason for the collection day is to provide Putnam County residents an opportunity to properly disposed of any unused or outdated prescription drugs in their possession so that the drugs will not end up in the wrong hands or be flushed down drains and potentially contaminate septic/sewer systems and eventually contaminate ground water.
The hours and locations for this prescription drug collection day are: 8:30AM-11:30AM at the Continental Fire Department. Drop off will be at the Kalida Fire Department from 12:30 PM-3:30 PM.
If you have outdated or unused prescription drugs in your home, but are unable to participate in this collection day, please feel free to use the drug drop box located in the main lobby at the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office located at 1035 Heritage Trail Ottawa, OH. The lobby is open 24 hours per day.
