Monday saw Wayne Trace come to Continental for nonleague baseball action. The Raiders opened the game up with a pair of runs in the top of the first. The Pirates came back with a single run, a home run by Blake Elkins. The Raiders score another run in the second to take a 3-1 lead. That score would hold till the top of the fourth when the Raiders would plate 2 more runs to take a 5-1. The Raiders would take the game with 6 additional runs to take the lead and game 11-1.
Sam Newsome started the game for the Pirates a pitched 4.2 innings. He gave up 10 hits and 11 runs. Ethan Sullivan pitched .1 inning. Continental had 2 hits, 1 was a home run by Blake Elkins.
Continental falls to 0-2 and will host Stryker on Saturday in a nonleague doubleheader. Wayne Trace is now 2-0.
