Ruth Ann (Niese) Coble, 1950 – 2023

MILLER CITY – Ruth Ann Coble, 72, of Miller City, passed away at 6:20 p.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at her residence. She was born November 30, 1950 in Bluffton to the late Ralph and Viola (Kuhlman) Niese.  On July 21, 1973, she married Steve Coble, who survives in Miller City.

  Other survivors include two children: Rebecca Whittington of Los Angeles and Patrick (Amanda) Coble of Ayersville; five grandchildren: Hannah Whittington, Daxton Caldwell, Olivea Coble, Allyssa Coble and Danniella Coble; one brother, Richard (Sharon) Niese of Hamler; and one sister-in-law, Shirley Niese of Napoleon.

  She was also preceded in death by four siblings: Jeanette (Paul) Borgelt, Norman Niese, Ralph Niese Jr. and Joseph Niese.

  Ruth retired from Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School in 2011, where she was a teacher. She was a member St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City, its Altar Rosary Society and the Order of Carmelites Discalced Secular St. Joseph Protector of the Holy Family, Celina, Ohio. She was very involved in her church. Ruth loved gardening, canning and following her grandchildren’s activities.

  Funeral Mass will begin 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 21, 2023 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City with Fr. Daniel Borgelt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  A visitation will be held from 2 – 8 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2023 and 9 – 9:45 a.m. on Saturday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.  There will be a vigil service at 1:45 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

  Memorial donations may be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice, Findlay or a charity of the donor’s choice.
