Continental Elementary students recently held a mini Relay for Life event at the school on May 20th. Students raised money for Cancer research during the many events held that day. The event kicked off with a meeting at the “Tree of Life” at the Elementary school where a list of names was read in remembrance of those that have passed away of cancer or those that have beat cancer. Events included a balloon release, purple glove dance, bingo, Minute to Win It, Health Department presentation, and walking laps to fight cancer. In total $1,357.06 was collected for Relay for Life. Thank you to all of the volunteers and community members who helped donate time, money and resources for the event! Your help will not go unnoticed in the fight against cancer!
