Tony Schindler, 1965 – 2022

PAULDING – Tony Schindler, 56, of Paulding passed away at 11:12 a.m. on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Parkview North Hospital, Ft. Wayne, IN surrounded by his friends and family.  He was born on December 2, 1965 in Kingsport, TN to James and Edith (Hendricks) Schindler.  His father is deceased and his mother survives in Defiance.  On December 7, 1991, he married Jeanetta Ashbaugh and she survives in Paulding.

  Other survivors include two children: Cory (Macey) Schindler of Sherwood and Casey (Marcus Butler) Schindler of Defiance; four grandchildren: Sydney, Kaylin, Emilee and Adalynn; and two siblings: Nancy (Scott) Kiessling and Jim (Ruby Borchardt) Schindler, both of Defiance.

  Tony worked for Mansion Mobile Homes, Bryan. He was a member of the Paulding Eagles and the “Friends Forever Pool Team” which is now known as “One Man Down.” Tony enjoyed playing cards, fishing, and loved to hang out with his family and friends.

  Tony always thought of others and gave the gift of life through organ donation.

  A funeral service will begin at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, July 23, 2022 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental with Pastor Jimmy Fry officiating.  A visitation will be held from noon to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

  Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
