year from the 5-year Strategic Plan.

progress. Locker and flooring installation are pending with an August 14th completion date. The

➢ Enrollment in CTE programs across Ohio continues to increase significantly due to the worker
shortage within Ohio and around the nation. The need for increased capacity in training programs
is a major topic of discussion at the state level. A committee that is comprised of a wide variety of
stakeholders has been meeting to discuss options beyond expanding buildings of our CTE
providers. This committee has produced a twenty-two (22) page white paper outlining a variety of
options to consider. There are four (4) overarching strategies with examples for implementation:
program design, nontraditional scheduling, delivery of industry-recognized credentials, and
expanded work-based learning.
