
Continental High varsity volleyball continued an impressive win streak on Tuesday when they took Putnam County League rival Kalida in 4 games. The Pirates have won 3 in a row and 4 out of 5 with the only loss coming to OSVCA DIV #4 ranked Leipsic. The Wildcats looked to end the Pirates win streak when they took game 1, 25-18. A hard fought game two went to the Pirates 25-23. Another close game went to the Pirates 25-20 Pirates 2-1. With their backs to the wall the Wildcats dominated game 4, 25-11. The game 5 final went to the Pirates in an impressive fashion, Pirates 15-6. Pirates 3-2 match winner.
Delany Bowers led the Pirates with 19 kills, 21 digs, 3 aces. Rhaegan Marshall added 15 kills 9 digs. Teaghan McDougle had 36 assists Aislynn Noffsinger 19 digs Kenzie Searfoss 13 digs.
Continental improves to 6-4 (2-1 PCL) and will travel to Pandora Glandorf on Thursday for Putnam County League action. Kalida falls to 7-3 (1-1 PCL).
Lady Pirates 3, Arlington 1
It took 4 games but host Continental High Volleyball picked up win 5 against Arlington. The Pirates defended the Cove by taking the first game 25-21. The Pirates took a 2-0 lead by taking game 2 25-21. The Red Devils took a close game 3 26-24. The Pirates took game 4 and the match 25-15. Pirates 3-1 winner.
Delany Bowers led the Pirates with 19 kills, 12 digs, and 5 aces. Teaghan McDougle had 35 assists and 8 digs. Rhaegan Marshall had 11 kills and 7 digs. Kenzie Searfoss had 5 kills, 7 aces and 10 digs. Brynn Thomsen 4 kills and 3 aces. Aislynn Noffsinger 9 digs. Macie Clemens 3 kills.
Continental improves to 5-4 and will host PCL rival Kalida on Tuesday. Arlington falls to 6-5.
