93rd Annual Turkey Supper
Christ United Methodist Church
Saturday, Nov 19 @ 4pm
Cost is by donation/drive-thru only
As our big day approaches, Christ United Methodist would like to thank the many people that come together to help us prepare 800 meals for our annual Turkey Supper. What does it take to make that many meals, you might wonder? Here’s a partial list:
105 loaves of bread
30 pounds of onions
850 pounds of frozen whole turkeys
20 gallons of applesauce
40 bunches of celery
100 pies
Sweet corn was planted in the Spring, cut off the cob and frozen in July and August. This week we filled orders for over 100 pounds of cranberry salad (there will be plenty for the meals on Saturday evening).
Ninety-three years for the annual Turkey Supper and going strong. We are grateful for our wonderful friends for their help and it is a blessing to be able to share this meal with with our community and beyond. God is good!
