ABC’s new series on Wednesday night (10pm) “Designated Survivor” had a local flavor as one of the main character is from the Putnam County. Tanner Buchanan plays the son of the lead character Kiefer Sutherland.
The story background:
On the night of the State of the Union speech, an explosion claims the lives of the President and all members of the Cabinet except for Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Tom Kirkman (Sutherland), who had been named the designated survivor. Kirkman is immediately sworn in as President, unaware that the attack is just the beginning of what is to come.
Tanner plays the part of Leo Kirkman, Tom Kirkman’s son. He is in the first three episodes which are schedule to run the next three Wednesdays at 10 pm.
Tanner attended Glandorf Elementary and moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Tanner has been seen in Girl Meets World (Charlie Gardner), The Fosters (Jack Downey), and Game Shakers (Mason Kendal). Tanner regularly returns to Continental to visit friends and family.
Continentalenews congratulates Tanner on his acting career so far (it is great to say “hey I know him”) and we are looking forward to watching the Designated Survivor series!
