#15 Big Green Too Much for Lady Pirates

January 10, 2021 by Adam Donaldson Leave a Comment

The first AP Ohio Girls basketball poll came out earlier this week and had Ottoville ranked 15 in Division IV.  On Thursday night it looked like the ratings were correct.  Ottoville took control the game early as the sprinted out to a 17-6 lead after 1.  The second quarter had the Big Green increase their lead by 19, 40-10.  A low scoring third had each team score 4 for a 44-14 Ottoville leading heading into the last quarter.  The Big Green took the fourth quarter and the game.  Ottoville 54-21.
Madelyn Potts led the Pirates with 8 pointes while Catelyn Etter put in 5.  Maddie Burke scored 4, Tygre Troyer and Jensen Armey both had 2 points.  The Pirates did not make any 3 point shots while the Big Green converted 10.  The Pirates out rebounded the Big Green 28-22 with Etter adding 9 more to her Pirate career high record.
Continental falls to 3-9 (0-3 PCL) and will host Patrick Henry in a nonleague game on Tuesday.  Ottoville improves to 8-4 (3-1 PCL).
