The Putnam County Fair has something for everyone! Today’s opening day had a few showers pass through but still a large crowd was on hand for Monday’s events – the Marching Band Extravaganza, Jr. Fair Horse & Pony Showmanship, Pig/Wiener Dog Races, Veterans Tribute, exotic animals and more. Tuesday is Kid’s Day – all children 16 and under free until 4:00pm, sponsored by Durant Amusements and Verhoff Machine & Welding. Harness Racing will be the Grandstand events on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
