The worst that the Columbus Grove softball team can do this year is share the Putnam County League Title after defeating the Continental Pirates 17-0 Tuesday night. The visiting Bulldogs jumped out to a 1-0 lead after one. The Bulldogs add 4 in the second and 5 in the third to take a 10 run lead. Bulldogs added 7 more runs in the last two innings of the 5 inning game.
Amber Logan took the loss for the Pirates. Alex Quigley, Kayla Troyer, and Alivia Homier each singled for the Pirates.
The Pirates fall to 4-7 (2-2 PCL) while Columbus Grove improves to 12-3 (5-0 PCL). The Pirates next play Jefferson on Wednesday at home.
