On August 23 Continental High Girls Soccer team will open up the 2018 season by traveling to Paulding. Last year the Pirates were 9-9-1 and advanced to the District Semifinals where they were taken out of the tournament trail by Kalida 2-1. Lost from the 2017 team is First Team Putnam County League and Second Team All District Forward Kaitlyn Alvarado. Alvardo was the only senior on the team last year. The Pirates welcome back First Team Putnam County, First Team All District, and Second Team All State forward Alex Hoeffel. Other award winners returning this year are Putnam County League Second Team and District Honorable Mention Riley Fenter and Sierra Prowant. Brooke Davis, Katie Keller, and Maddie Burke were all named Putnam County League Honorable Mention.
Last year Continental finished in a tie for second in the Putnam County League. The Pirates open the Putnam County League season at Fort Jennings on September 4, they are also on the road for the game against Ottoville on October 4th. Home Putnam County League games are Miller City (September 22) and Kalida (October 9).
