Last year Pirates advanced two tracksters to state as Katie Keller made it in the Girls 300 M Hurdles and Eli Troyer advanced n the Boys High Jump. A new season and hopefully more Pirates at State as the Track team opens up their season on Thursday at Crestview. The Pirates have 7 returning Varsity Boys and 4 returning Varsity Girls letter winners. Highlighting the track schedule are: competition in the Joe Tussing Patriot Invite (Patrick Henry), Diller Invite (Ayersville), Edgerton Invite, Wayne Trace Relays and the Putnam County Meet (Ottoville). The Pirates will compete in the Ayersville Division III District on Thursday May 16 and Saturday May 18. The Boys are part of a 19 team field while the girls are assigned to be in District 2 a 12 team field. There are two girls districts being held at Ayersville (24 teams total). Regional qualifiers will run in Tiffin.
