Continental High Volleyball is looking to improve last years 2-20 record with a mixture of returning letterwinners and some promising newcomers. Senior letterwinners returning are outside hitter Marcie Cordes who had 46 kills and 106 digs last year and middle hitter Lauren Williams with 42 kills and 51 digs. Junior letterwinner Olivia Loran is an outside hitter who had 94 digs and 119 assists. A strong Sophomore class has a pair of letterwinners returning and a pair looking for varsity playing time. Delany Bowers is a sophomore middle hitter who had 180 digs, 26 aces, 139 kills and was honorable mention all Putnam County League. The other sophomore letterwinner is middle hitter Rhaegen Marshall who had 95 kills last year. Setter Taeghan McDougle and Defensive Specialist Raegen Clemens are Sophomores looking to move into the Pirates rotation.
The Pirates were 2-20 (0-6 PCL) and opened their season Saturday with a win at North Baltimore. The Pirates have their home opener on Tuesday when Patrick Henry comes to town. The Pirates are coached by Allison Schmidt.
