The 2022-23 basketball season had the Pirates make it to the OHSAA DIV Elida District Bluffton University Sectional Finals. The Pirates took a 39-34 win over Cory Rawson in the Sectional semifinal. Ottoville ended the Pirates season in the Sectional Finals. Continental closed the season out at 11-13 and 3-4 in the Putnam County League. Ottoville advanced to the District Finals where Crestview ended their season. Crestview took a last second thriller from Marion Local to claim the BGSU Regional Finals. Patrick Henry made it to the DIV BGSU Regional Semifinals and was eliminated by Marion Local. Crestview advances to the State Semifinals on Thursday where they will meet Berlin Hiland. Richmond Heights will play Russia in the other State DIV Semifinal.
Ottawa Glandorf will also be at State where they will matchup against Africentric in a DIII Semifinal on Saturday. The Titans advanced to State with a 62-55 double overtime win over Wayne Trace. Cleveland Lutheran East and Canal Winchester Harvest Prep will meet in the other DIII Semifinal.
All State games are played at University of Dayton Arena with Finals being on Sunday.
Pirate Seniors Konnor Knipp Williams and Rhenn Armey took home post season honors. Knipp Williams was named to the Putnam County League Second team and the Northwest District DIV Honorable Mention Roll. Armey was named to the PCL Honorable Mention roll.
