On Monday, Continental hosted the #3 state ranked Division III Girls Soccer team Archbold in nonleague action. The early action was all Blue Streaks as they posted 5 goals in the first 15 minutes. Pirate Kaitlyn Alvarado put the Pirates on the board with a goal at the 22:23 mark. Two more Blue Streak goals made it 7-1 Archbold at half. Continental opened the scoring in the second half as Alex Hoeffel put in a penalty kick at the 37:13 mark. A goal by the Blue Streaks was matched at the 25:30 mark when Pirate Hoeffel hit the back of the net again. One more goal by the Blue Streaks made it 9-3 Blue Streaks final.
Alex Hoeffel put in 2 goals for the Pirates while Kaitlyn Alvarado put in one. The Pirates were outshot 29-21 with Pirate Goalies Angel Brzozowski making 14 saves and Natalie Speiser 2 saves.
Continental falls to 6-6 and will host Lima Central Catholic on Monday. Archbold improves to 11-0.
