Thursday night had Continental High Volleyball trying to extend their season in the OHSAA DVII Liberty Benton District against PCL rival Leipsic in the Sectional Finals. The Vikings come in as the #4 ranked team in the MAXPrep DVII ranking. The Vikings showed they were not overrated on this night. It was the Vikings 25-10 in the first game. The second game went the Viking way 25-12. The Vikings then ended the Pirates season by taking the third game 25-10. Vikings 3-0.
Continental was led by Senior Teaghan McDougle with 10 assists and 4 digs. Macie Clemens added 6 kills, 2 digs, and 1 block. Brynn Thomsen had 4 kills and a block. Kenzie Searfoss had 2 kills and 6 digs. Brynlee McDougle had 1 kill and 2 digs. Aislynn Noffsinger had 11 digs. Mallorie Barnhart had 3 digs.
The #8 seeded Pirates fall to 6-17. #2 seeded Leipsic improves to 22-1 and will take on #4 seed Pandora 16-7, ranked 16 on Monday at Liberty Benton. The other half of the bracket has #1 seed Ottoville 21-2 ranked 6 taking on #3 seed Miller City 17-5 ranked 10.
