Forrest J. Hasselschwert, 1950 – 2015

Continental — Forrest J. Hasselschwert, 64, of Continental died 7:05 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2015 at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. He was born November 4, 1950 in Defiance to the late James and Annabelle (Fritz) Hasselschwert. On July 13, 1974 he married Kathleen Luersman, who survives in Continental.

Also surviving are his children: Jaime Hasselschwert of St. Mary’s, Mindy (Matt) Houck of Kalida and Anthony (Rebecka) Hasselschwert of Fort Wayne, IN; 6 grandchildren: Madelyn, Grady and Ryan Houck and William, Abigail and James Hasselschwert; and a sister: Mary Hasselschwert of Delphos. He is preceded in death by a brother: Robert Hasselschwert.

Forrest worked for 43 years for Johns-Manville where he was a machine operator. He was an avid NASCAR fan and greatly enjoyed hunting. The arrangements are incomplete at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township.
