With all three teams entering the last week of the regular season with at least a .500 record there is lots of interest by the Pirate faithful in the tournament draw being held on Sunday. How many sectional games will be played at Continental?
But before tournament action starts there is still 6 regular season games left 3 at home, 3 on the road. The Volleyball team follows up a road trip to Waynesfield-Goshen on Tuesday with a Senior Night Celebration against Putnam County League Rival and OHSVCA Division IV 17th ranked Big Green of Ottoville.
The Boys Soccer team plays two fellow ranked North West Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association teams on the road this week. On Tuesday the Division III #7 ranked Pirates will face #8 ranked Pettisville. On Saturday the Pirates will face #5 ranked Van Buren. Fuel up the roadster for a couple of great games featuring ranked teams
All the Girls Soccer team has on line this week is the Putnam County League Championship. Continental and Kalida, both undefeated in the PCL, will meet up on Tuesday to decide who gets to add 2016 to their league championship banner. The game against Kalida is also Senior night. On Saturday the Pirate kickers will close the regular against Delphos St Johns. The Pirates are ranked #5 in the latest NWOSSCA poll for Division III.
Last but not least, the Continentalenews sports staff wishes a great future to all the Pirates Fall Sports players who will have donned the Blue and Gold at home one last time this fall. Great Job Class of 2017.
