
Continental High Girls Soccer team rallied at the end of the season to pull their record to an even 9-9-1. At one point in the season the Pirates were 6-8-1 and rallied to win the regular season final and two tournament games. Alex Hoeffel set the team record with 6 goals in a game and the lone Senior, Kaitlyn Alvarado, finished the season with 10 goals in her last 4 games. The Pirates finished second in the Putnam County League to Kalida.
In Tournament, the Pirates were seeded #6 in the Ottoville Division III District. The Pirates dispatched Crestview and Fort Jennings in the sectional semifinal and final games to advance to the District Semifinal. #1 seeded Kalida had Continental’s number this year as the Wildcats completed the season sweep to advance to the District Finals. Kalida was defeated 2-1 by Coldwater in the District finals. Coldwater advanced to the Regional Semifinal where they got beat by Liberty Benton. Continental regular season foe Archbold advanced to the Regional finals and lost to Liberty Benton. Liberty Benton season was stopped at the State Semifinals by Kirkland. Cincinnati Summit Country Day ended up as the Division III State Champs. Schools from the Cincinnati area swept the State Girls Titles.
Ottawa Glandorf was seeded 11 in the Findlay Division III District. They advanced to the District Semifinals where they were eliminated by Liberty Benton.
