For the second year in a row Archbold is a host for the OHSAA Division III Track District. Both Pirates squads are assigned to the Archbold fields. Action starts on Thursday, May 17 with field events starting at 3pm and track prelim events at 5pm. The finals for Girls Discus, Boys and Girls High Jump, Boys and Girls Long Jump, Boys Shot Put, and Boys and Girls 4x800M Relay are held on Thursday. On Saturday, May 19 more running Prelims will start at 9am with Track finals starting at 1pm. The remaining field events will start at 10am.
Boys Track
Nineteen teams make up the Archbold District Boys Track field. All of the Green Meadows Conference is part of the field along with all the members of the Buckeye Border Conference. North West Ohio League’s Delta, Liberty Center, and Patrick Henry also make up the field. Continental is the only Putnam County League team in the field. The top 4 in each event will move onto the Tiffin Regional.
Boys Teams: Antwerp, Ayersville, Continental, Delta, Edgerton, Edon, Fairview, Fayette, Hicksville, Hilltop, Holgate, Liberty Center, Montpelier, North Central, Patrick Henry, Pettisville, Stryker, Tinora, Wayne Trace
Girls Track
The Girls Track District field at Archbold is a whole different story as 24 teams make up the field but are divided into two Districts. Continental is assigned to the Archbold District 2. Twelve make up the District 2 field with all Green Meadows Conference less Edgerton making up more than half the field. Continental is joined in the field with Putnam County League rival Leipsic. Archbold, Leipsic, Paulding, Genoa, and Swanton all have Girls Track teams at Archbold but do not have their boys teams there. Both Archbold Girls District’s Regional Qualifiers will move onto the Tiffin Regional.
Girls Teams: Antwerp, Ayersville, Continental, Fairview, Hicksville, Holgate, Leipsic, Liberty Center, Patrick Henry, Paulding, Tinora, Wayne Trace
All the Archbold District qualifiers will go to the Tiffin Regional with both Archbold Girls District qualifiers joining the qualifiers form Findlay and Sandusky Perkins at Tiffin. The Boys Tiffin Regional will have qualifiers from Archbold, Findlay, Sandusky Perkins, and Bucyrus.
Putnam County League teams
Kalida and Pandora Gilboa are have both teams assigned to the Findlay District along with the Leipsic Boys. Columbus Grove, Ottoville and Fort Jennings are assigned to the Spencerville District and qualifiers will advance to Troy Regional.
