Pirates Fall 1-0 in Bath Kickoff Classic Final:
On Thursday the Pirates Boys Soccer met host Lima Bath in the finals of the Kickoff Classic. The Pirates had advanced to the finals with a 8-0 win over Paulding while Bath took Lima Central Catholic out 3-2. A scoreless first half had the Pirates out-shooting the Wildcats 3-1. The second half had the Wildcats put a ball across the line at the 28 minute mark. The Pirates would have a couple of great chances later in the game but the Bath goal would be the only score for the night.
Continental outshot Bath 8-4 with Pirate Goalie Trevor Brecht making 3 saves. The Pirates had 6 corner kicks while the Wildcats did not have a corner kick.
Continental is now 1-1 and will host Defiance on Monday in nonleague action. Bath moves to 2-0.
Raiders take VolleyPirates 3-1:
On Thursday Continental High Volleyball traveled to Haviland to take on Wayne Trace. The Pirates started night off right as they took the first game 26-24. The Raiders would take the second game 25-17 to even the night at 1-1. The third game went the Raider way 25-19. The night ended with Wayne Trace taking the fourth game 25-15.
Continental falls to 0-2 and will travel to Lincolnview on Tuesday for non league action. The Raiders improve to 1-1.
