On Sunday OHSAA NWDAB will host their annual Baseball Tournament draw with a new format. Teams are assigned to a group and then can place themselves in 1 of 2 districts. Continental is assigned to DVII group B which will draw into the Northwest District 2 (Patrick Henry) or District 4 (Findlay). Group B is probably one of the toughest Groups in the state as they have 3 teams ranked in the OHSBCA DVII top 16 with Miller City 7, Kalida, 9 and Leipsic 16. Also included in Group B are For Jennings and Holgate who have winning records. North Baltimore, Continental, and Ottoville fill out Group B. Group B will place teams first into the brackets. All Group B will draw into a Sectional Final May 21 held at the better seeded site and a District Semifinal May 28 held at Patrick Henry. Teams will choose to go against teams from Group A (top teams are Edgerton 10-6, Hilltop 9-6, North Central 8-9, Montpelier 9-4) for a District Final at Parick Henry or go against teams from Group B (top teams are McComb 8-9, New Riegel 8-9, Arcadia 7-10). Only Montpelier 11 is ranked in the OHSBCA poll. Both District routes will have their Regional in Northwest Ohio.
