Thursday had the Continental High Volleyball team host Hicksville in nonleague action. The Aces took the first game 25-13. The Pirates got an early lead in the second game 10-8 behind the serving of Catelyn Etter but the Aces battled back for a 25-13 win. The Aces opened up the third game with a 5-0 lead and took the match with a 25-10 win in game 3.
Madelyn Potts led the Pirates with 16 digs and 5 kills while Catelyn Etter had 10 assists and 5 kills.
Continental falls to 1-4 and will travel to Columbus Grove on Tuesday for their Putnam County League opener. Hicksville improves to 1-3.
