On Thursday Continental High Volleyball traveled to Hicksville for non league action. It looked like the were going to make short work of the night as they took the first two games by 25-18 and 25-14. The Pirates would make the night longer as they would take the third game 25-20. Faced with a second match ending game the Pirates prevailed again 25-20 forcing a fifth game. The tie-breaking fifth game went to the Aces 15-7.
Continental falls to 1-4 and will host Columbus Grove in their Putnam County League opener. Hicksville improves to 1-3.
