KALIDA – Adrian W. Birkemeier, 80, of Kalida, died 6:15 a.m., Wednesday, September 3, 2014 after an automobile accident on St. Rt. 115. He was born September 3, 1934, in rural Columbus Grove, to the late John W. and Mary A. (Fuerst) Birkemeier. On June 13, 1959, he married Mary Hedrick and she survives in Kalida. Also surviving are 3 sons: Michael (Marilyn) Birkemeier, Steven (Beth) Birkemeier and David (Janice) Birkemeier all of Columbus Grove and 18 grandchildren.
Adrian retired after 42 years from Philips in Ottawa as an electrician and was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society and a former IBEW Union president. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. Anthony Catholic School Endowment Fund or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are pending and under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
