And The Band Played On…

March 2, 2015 by Karen Donaldson

If you attended the Continental – Patrick Henry game at the Cove on Friday not only did you get to see the Pirates win but you were also treated to some great music. The Continental High School Choir sang the Star Spangled Banner before the game (a capella) while the Pep Band Max played at each of the breaks and played for 20 minutes after the game. Pep Band Max is the Continental High School Pep Band along with members from a pair Bowling Green State University Band Honor Groups.

For the second year in a row members of Kappa Kappa Psi (National Honorary Band Fraternity) and Tau Beta Sigma (National Honorary Band Sorority) added some depth to the Pep Band. A big Continental eNews thanks goes out to these students who made the trip to Continental to work with the band!

Members of the Choir are:
Sopranos: Amelia Weller, Kacie Quigley, and Alicia Dawson
Altos: Syndey Eickholt, Madison Mansfield, Jasmine Pancake, Alivia Homier, McKenna Scott, and Gabriella Bendt
Tenors: Garrett Recker, Page Thomas, and Cody Etter
Bass: Ross Etter and Kenny Grant

Pep Band Members are:
Flutes: Sierra Prowant

Clarinets: Alexis Geren, Melody Weaver

Alto Saxophones: Leah Baker, Taron Butler, Justin Etter, Zach Shepard, Courtney Weaver

Trumpets: Kaytlin Bibler, Noah Emmons, Andi Krendl, Paige Lawhorn, Zach Moran, Konnor Okuley, Madi Sharp, Eli Troyer
