On a nice Saturday morning, Fairview High baseball team boarded the bus to Continental for non league action. The Apaches got the scoring early as they plated 4 runs in the first. The Pirates countered with a run in the second inning to make it 4-1 Apaches. The Apaches added a fifth run in the fourth inning and 4 more in the fifth while holding the Pirates scoreless the remainder of the game. Apaches 9, Pirates 1.
Nick States was the pitcher of record for the Pirates. Blake Elkins, Brady Dockery, and Jarret Keck also pitched for the Pirates. Elkins got the Pirates lone run with a home run in the second inning. Dockery hit a double for the Pirates only other hit.
Continental is now 1-4 and will host Leipsic on Tuesday in a Putnam County League game . Fairview is now 4-1.
