On Tuesday night Continental Varsity Girls had a 2 point lead after 1 but saw the Antwerp Archers outscore the Pirates by 17 in the final 3 quarters in a nonleague encounter at the Cove. The first quarter was good for the Pirates as they opened up a 9-7 lead. The Archers came back in the second to tie the game 21 all at half. Antwerp had an 8 point advantage in the third 36-28 Archers after 3. The Archer defense held the Pirates to 4 points while scoring 10 for the 47-32 Archer win.
Ashley Mansfield led the Pirates with 11 points while Amber Logan and Brooke Bradford finished with 8 each. Alex Hoeffel had 3, Addyson Armey 2. Amber Logan hit two 3 points shots while Alex Hoeffel made 1.
Continental is now 2-14 while Antwerp is 10-5. The Pirates are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Pandora-Gilboa in a Putnam County League matchup.
