On Wednesday, Continental High Softball rallied to tie the game twice but ran out of innings to come back a third time. Host Antwerp scored a run in the first for a 1-0 lead. The Pirates would plate a run in the third to tie the game. The Archers plated 2 runs in the bottom of the third to take a 3-1 lead. The Pirates would rally in the top of the sixth to tie the game at 3 all. An Archer run in the bottom of the seventh ended the game. Archers 4-3 final
Raegen Clemens led the Pirates with a double and 2 RBIs. Lily Lamond hit a double and scored a run. Gracie Homier hit a single, scored a run, drove in a run and drew a walk. Ella Siefer hit a single, scored a run and drew a walk. Mallorie Barnhart hit a single and stole a base. Macie Clemens walked and stole a base.
Gracie Homier pitched the complete game. Homier gave up 4 runs (1 earned) on 5 hits and 5 walks and 9 strikeouts. The Pirates had 2 errors. Continental falls to 1-2, Antwerp improves to 2-2.
