On Monday night Continental traveled south of Lima to take on the Perry Commodores. It was a match that had the Pirates rally from near defeat in the third game to victory. Perry started the night by taking the first two games by identical 25-21 scores. The third game was a thriller as the Pirates and Commodores needed extra points to decided the victor. The Pirates pulled out the third game 30-28. After that excitement the Pirates took the remaining two games 25-14 and 25-11 to bring home the victory.
Leah Baker had a big night for the Pirates as she established a new record for kills with 28 to go along with her 12 digs. Syndey Eickholt had 13 kills and 2 aces. Amber Logan had 6 kills. Hannah Troyer had 13 digs and 3 aces. Jessica Stauffer had 45 assists. Alivia Homier had 2 aces.
Continental is now 6-6 on the season and host OSVCA division IV 9th ranked Leispic on Tuesday. Lima Perry falls to 4-8.
