Scott – Barbara Ann Gribble, 66 of Scott, died 2:40 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She was born August 24, 1949 in Waynesboro, TN to Walter and June (Sabastion) Brown. Her father is deceased. Her mother, June Brown Brooks survives in Paulding. She married David Cupps who precedes. Then on April 16, 1992, she married Melvin Gribble who survives in Scott.
Barbara is also survived by two daughters: Melissa Cupps (Dennis) Osborne of Defiance, Tonya Ware of Van Wert; a son: David Gribble of Defiance; three sisters: Kay Pack of Ohio City, Janice Pack of Paulding and Karen Shaffer of Oakwood; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by a son: Marcus Cupps and a brother : Richard Brown.
Barbara was retired nurse. She was a member and Pianist at the Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Rushmore.
A funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Continental Missionary Baptist Church in Continental with Rev. Robert Morrison and Rev. Jonathan Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Ayersville Cemetery, Ayersville. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood and Saturday 11 a.m. till time of service at the church.
