Race Day!! Saturday, March 4 was Miller City Pack 207 Pinewood Derby Race Day! Scouts with the ranks of Tigers, Wolves, Bears and Webelos brought their race car projects for some friendly but heated competition on the 50 foot aluminum track that was outfitted with an electronic timer at the Miller City Sportsmans Club.
Brayden Cole, Lindin Basinger and Ashton Donaldson, 4th graders from Continental, came ready to win and Linden did just that! Lindin’s car went undeafeted against all the boys in his rank and also in the Pack competition! His car posted a time of 3.057 seconds in the Pack final and placed him 1st overall. Landon Palmer placed 1st in the Bears rank. Finalist will take their cars to compete in the District Pinewood Derby race on April 1st. Congratulations to all the scouts on their creativity and sportsmanship!
